How to deal with being a Stutterer in School

BillDeering.Info

Stuttering is a speech disorder and does not reflect on the intelligence of the Stutterer. Many famous people and some singers are also afflicted with stuttering and were able to stop stuttering. If you are one, or know someone who is, then perhaps this article can be helpful.

Steps you can take:

1. Learn about stuttering. Find the cause, how it can be controlled, and how to live with it. Understand that it doesn't reflect your intelligence or mean that you are stupid or disabled.

2. Make others realize that while you might stutter, you can still be friends. Stuttering is neither catching, nor makes you less fun to be with. Explain to them what you have learned about stuttering, and explain them about it.

3. Meeting new people can be made easier, by telling them right out, that you stutter. If they find out when you start to talk, they might not understand.

4. Learn how to control stuttering

Being a Stutterer

Stuttering is nothing to be ashamed of. In my opinion, people who stutter are brilliant, resilent, and courageous. There is no reason to hide your stutter. Let stuttering be in the open so everyone can hear. When you go on an interview instead of hiding your stutter be upfront with the person interviewing you and tell them "I stutter and I want you to know this because when I get nervous or am in new situations I am very nervous. Please understand".

Speech Therapy for Stuttering

Speech Therapy for Stuttering? There are many forms of therapies available but I believe the best therapy for stuttering to take it on naturally. There are lots of failures, challenges, and struggles along the way but in the end that just makes you a much stronger person. Over time if you stick to accepting stuttering eventually it will go away like it did for me.
